20 May 2019
The students at Moruya Public School were treated with an exciting visit from the Variety Bash on Monday 20th of May. Over 130 cars of all shapes and sizes roared into the playground with 300 students and staff welcoming them with smiles, cheers, music and a wonderful catered lunch from the MPS school community.
The Variety Bash last visited in 2014 and donated money for the inclusive play area. This year on their return they donated $8000 that will be used to purchase large outdoor play equipment for the inclusive play area. The students met with Bob the Builder, Spiderman and Santa and the Incredible Hulk even made a visit. Principal, Peter Johnson thanked the Variety Bash for the difference they have made to our students with additional needs.
Back in the classroom literacy and numeracy lessons took on added excitement as the students wrote about the day and recorded the different cars and characters. Everyone had a fantastic day with smiles all round. We have a few photos of the day to share with you. Moruya Public School is already looking forward to the next visit!
